Our Story.

Angell & Company opened its doors on March 1, 1979 in New York City.

The idea was to provide research and counsel of the highest quality to the world's largest organizations.

The Company took off like a rocket ship.

In 1998, our clients started asking for help with a new world.

The Internet.

We knew nothing about it.

Nor, it turned out, did anyone else.

There were no Conferences on the subject. No agencies knew anything. No companies really had any marketing budgets.

So, we invited four of our consulting clients -- Citibank, Marriott, The New York Times, and MetLife -- to a meeting in New York.

At the end of the meeting, all four decided to join forces and help each other understand the new world of the Internet.

And that's how our Council Program began.

It wasn't long before we had 100 major companies in our Program.
